Compromise
Winston Churchill said “never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy” Compromise with an enemy that wants to destroy a people’s core beliefs, traditions, and way of life is unthinkable to those that hold them dear. In standing up for what they believe in, they are promply labeled, by those that do not agree with them, as extremists, narrow minded, and intellectually inferior.
Why is it the left always demands compromise from Catholics, Conservatives, Pro-lifers, it’s because they are the only ones standing in their way of carrying out their plan of fundamental transformation. For the same reason any communist regime, once it takes over, does away with the Church, the intelligentsia – university professors, scientists, because they hold sway with the people, but eventually, they do away with just about anyone who won’t go along to get along. Who are these compromisers who are willing to negotiate away others freedom and economic stability? They are people who in the end trade off their core beliefs for some vaguely promised reward of peace or security – in other words – cowards. Some are opportunists, who use compromise to further their financial standing, politcial or corporate power. In the end they are sell-outs – a good example is Richie Rich who sold out St.Thomas More.
It’s a sad day when a person gives up their core convictions, all that is left is a hollow shell, where once existed a mind. They can no longer think for themselves, because they have no reference point, all they can do is repeat the same sound bites and platitudes given to them by their leaders, over and over again. No wonder Obama sent the bust of Churchill that was in the Oval Office, promply back to Great Britain immediately upon taking power…that simple sculpture represented a man with the utmost resolve in standing up for what he believed….which is the greatest threat to anyone planning to fundamentally transform anything.
